Mrs. Brazier created the unique digital magazine Significant with over two decades of experience in Art, Fashion & Journalism. Her passion for the creative field began at the same time she picked up a spoon. Her skills improved by the age of eight in drawing and sewing and continued to progress while she learned to express herself through writing courses in college. Charlee worked as a freelance writer and artist before becoming a columnist and a reporter for the only black magazine in the southwest, The Perspective. She created the column Woman 2 Woman and covered stories that affected black communities in New Mexico and around the nation. The printed magazine was known for being the voice of the people for 14 years. Mrs. Brazier used her education in creative writing and Medical Assistants degree from Pierce college in the state of Washington as well as her bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts & Design from the Art Institute of Seattle to teach and inspire.

She taught art workshops to at risk children and seniors. Mrs. Brazier helped them use art as a healing tool after discovering how much of a positive impact it had on her own life as a child. The programs were approved by Governor Richardson & The African American Cultural Center for close to 10 years in New Mexico. Her artistic skills and education gave her the opportunity to continue to encourage women to follow their destiny. Charlee Brazier held inspirational speeches at colleges for women in transition and exhibited black art during solo art shows.

However, her love for writing allowed her to create, produce and direct dinner theaters. Eventually, Mrs. Brazier’s ventures took her into workshops created by filmmaker and producer Christopher Coppola during the PAH Festival in Grants New Mexico. Her hands-on experience assisted in the directing, writing and producing of her first short film in the international festival. One of the judges were academy award winner and well-known American film director, producer and screenwriter Francis Coppola. Mrs. Brazier won 2nd place for her film “First Light.” A film that depicted her life in the military as a minority female. She continued her writing while also attending Elleen Seals Modeling Agency in Seattle for 4 years. Print modeling, acting and conquering the runway for several years allowed her to train her own models.

Her long on-going passion for the creative field led her to develop fashion shows for over 20 years to boost the morale of combat soldiers and veterans on military bases. She inspired many with her brand of custom-made clothing & exquisite vintage line D.B.C (Designs by Charlee) during fashion shows in the State of Washington, New Mexico, Tennessee & in London which included Chelsea Stadium.
